What it’s designed to do

Wheel-thrown and fully unglazed, this round bonsai pot is optimized for training, transition, and early composition across a wide range of species, especially Ficus and Juniper varieties. The balanced depth supports healthy root systems while remaining forgiving for fast-drying trees. Excellent drainage, integrated tie-down holes, and a visually stable silhouette make it well-suited for wired material and real-world growing conditions. Its proportions make it a versatile bonsai training pot for practice, refinement, and everyday home bonsai use.

Thoughtful craft, informed by practice

Each pot is handmade from a natural cone 6 stoneware clay body in my Melbourne, Florida studio. The unglazed surface encourages airflow and allows roots to naturally grip the interior over time, supporting healthy root development. The form was refined with input from active members of the Bonsai Society of Brevard, focusing on drainage, form & finish, and long-term usability. The result is an artisan bonsai pot designed to be used, adjusted, and grown with.
